What counts as CPD?

Discussion in 'NQTs and new teachers' started by carrottop88, Mar 27, 2011.

  1. As I'm beginning to apply for jobs I was just wondering what sorts of things I can put down as CPD on my application forms??
    Replies appreciated!

Well any sort of Continuing Professional Development: most people list courses or training that they have attended. But you could also include any further study, research, or even if you are a bit stuck information about how you keep up to date, eg: being a member of a subject organisation, examiner or information about books you have read on teaching etc. Given you might not have done a great deal you could mention areas of interest (make sure you have read the latest stuff) or areas you have watched lessons in. But most people mention courses and MAs.[IMG]

  3. Thanks leadlearner, really very helpful indeed!

Have a good weekend and a nice Easter!
