  1. In my school we have been given by the SMT, to improve the target setting and APP in Reading and Writing copies of these books, Aiming for Level 3 Writing and Aiming for Level 3 Reading by Collins (see Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aiming-Level-Writing-Student-Book/dp/0007316860/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I9996CHZCRA2X&colid=2HC92G92K70FY and http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aiming-Level-Reading-Student-Book/dp/0007313543/ref=pd_sim_b2 ) .
Have any of you seen, read or even used in your class either of these books? I would be glad of any feedback from colleagues around the country. Thanks.

The description on Amazon suggests they are for KS3.

Those in year 9 aiming for level 3 are going to be a very different kettle of fish to those in, presumably, year 2.

Sounds an odd idea to me.

  4. My thoughts entirely minnieminx. I was surprised to see KS3 on the back cover. I thought it was a printing error! Surely the content of the books would be over the heads of the Year 3's in my class.

  5. Know what your children know. Work out what they need to know next. Teach them what they need to know next. Then begin the cycle again.
