Welsh grant available for science activities in schools and organisations

Discussion in 'Cymru - education news' started by ScienceWeekUK, Dec 6, 2012.

  1. Apply for £200/£350 to run an event or activity during National Science & Engineering Week (NSEW), 15–24 March 2013.
The NSEW Grant Scheme for Wales, funded by the Welsh Government, is designed to help Welsh schools and organisations get their own NSEW celebrations off the ground. We will award funding of £200/£350 to help successful applicants run an event or activity.

This year’s theme ‘invention & discovery’ offers a fantastic opportunity to organise cross-curricular activities to inspire your pupils and staff, raise the profile of science and engage with parents, families and your local community.
Access free resources and support from the British Science Association. Register at www.nsew.org.uk to receive our monthly NSEW e-newsletter, packed full of exciting ideas and resources to help you organise activities as part of NSEW, including:
    - Bilingual activity packs full of pre-planned science investigations
    - how-to guides and case studies to inspire you
    - free marketing materials to help create a buzz.
Visit www.britishscienceassociation.org/welshgrant to apply. Application deadline: 11th January 2013.
Please get in touch if you have any questions.
