Dennis is faffing about a bit here but the local foxes are still louder.
Its howling here, and there are bits of debri flying all over the place. I have to go out at about 8.30. I hope it has calmed down by then
Sorry to hear the start of your holiday has been delayed Lan. Hopefully you and Mrs Lan will have a safe journey there and will soon be in Madeira enjoying the sunshine. X
It's not looking promising.
The rain is mad at the moment - being blown about in all directions. It's very dramatic (and even better not to be out in it).
Rain here but that's about it.
Well it certainly howled through the night, but at least that has died down now. still rai though and drains not coping. Our garden is already absolutely waterlogged and any walking across it results in mud rising, so it's more brown than green along where we access compost bins / wood shed etc.
TES ate my post.
Stay safe everyone.
Turns out someone died at the end of our road last night in a car crash.
Ouch! I hope Klutz is paying.
A commiserilike for everyone affected
Dennis doesn't seem to have brought too much wind here but there is lots of flooding. A main route through town is closed because the river has burst it's banks.
My dog walking routes will be restricted this week. The fields were already boggy yesterday.
Morning. A wild night, but no obvious damage around me that I know of. Flooding in places nearby though.
Same here and apart from a few showers things seem to have calmed down a bit. I am taking Mrs J out for lunch today as it is her birthday tomorrow. I have just been out and bought her some flowers which I have managed to sneak into the garage without being seen.
Elton John's E-reader device has been blown away by Storm Dennis.
Like a Kindle in the wind.
A van carrying emeralds, rubies and diamonds was blown over by the winds this morning...
Traffic police are telling motorists to avoid the jewel carriageway..
And another groan.
Afternoon. Very heavy rain here. It was windy last night. Not too bad now.
It’s raining but so mild here. I’ve got all my fan lights open (maybe I’ve got a temperature or it’s a hot flush).
Lovely sunshine at the moment, but there were hail showers as I returned home from the supermarket. Typical.
