Sending 'calming thoughts' Spirit.
I think she’ll need them.
I have a man-sized raised bed in my garden.....just saying.
Just back from taking the dog to Chatsworth. The house is closed at the moment so there is free parking.
It was fairly busy but we had a good walk. Now home with feet up and a cup of tea watching Final Score on tv.
A full compliment of radiators sans Chez Spirit - all toasty.
I can't seem to really get warm at the moment ,despite the weather being quite mild for the time of year.
Just seen the weather news on BBC1. I would hunt out your thermals as it is going to be cold overnight and tomorrow.
Splendid sunshine in Whitby, but wow was it cold. Lots of people too. Just had a relaxing bath and now waiting for my hair to dry sufficiently to go to bed. Perchance to sleep through.
No middle of the night posts? Hope that's a good sign for the poor sleepers.
I've been awake for a while, lying in bed and listening to the birds. I hardly ever see them so I don't know what kind they are but their song is lovely.
I like lying in bed quietly listening when I haven’t got to get up and rush about.
Good morning all. (Note the addition of 'good' there.)
I swapped my thinner duvet for the thick one and I does seem to have helped me sleep, so perhaps being cold was a factor in the insomnia? Whatever the reason, because it could just have been sleep finally catching up I slept better last night only waking twice and getting back to sleep fairly quickly as far as I could tell. Might have only been once had we not had the 2 power cuts around 10pm, which always reset my alarm clock to 00:00 and so the 'alarm radio' woke me just after midnight.
Yes I slept! Obviously the activities of the yesterday had the desired effect.
Oh dear. That doesn't sound like fun, but at least you got back to sleep.
Lovely crisp, sunny and frosty day today
Beautiful and sunny here too.
Stew is stewing and I'm about to tackle the ironing.
Today is International You Must Have Dumplings in your Stew Day.
Mawning. I've got sunshine at the front of the house and nuffink in the back garden.
That's a day I will be happy to observe
Same here. My favourite type of winter day.
I will never (well that's a rather liberal term and open to change) mock Lan's sock stack. I've just been through my sock drawer.
