Sorry to hear you are struggling.
I'm fine thank you. I went to the Christmas Market in town today and then to a Christmas concert with a friend.
When do you finish for Christmas?

Condolences to Mrs Lan and to you @lanokia

We're fortunate here to have statutory (paid and substituted) bereavement leave..2 to 5 days depending on the relationship to the deceased..it ranges from parents to first cousins.

    Morning.
Hope you got back to sleep Lan.
You should still ask about leave - you may be able to join Mrs Lan later in the week.

    Morning.

Lilac - tuna melts are tuna mayo sandwiches with toasted bread and melted cheese. Mr BS loves them.

Today's plans include making turkey pies, a muddy walk with the dogs and a visit to the gym at the rowing club. I guess I should wrap Mr BS's presents too.

Morning. Enjoy your first proper day’s holiday, bombay.

Schools here finish Wednesday or Thursday. I’m doing a little last shopping today.

    Morning all.

Indeed especially as you'll have a day's teaching. Yes it might be an idea to ask for time off for later, as I presume not being a hot country, it isn't a burial within 24 hrs, so you could at least join her for the funeral.

More sorting /clearing again today for me.

And a day's work with a lunch hour to give you time to post here. Not bad! ;)

Turkey pies done. 2 helping of gluten free plus another 12 for us. I have also made beef stock with slow cooked beef shin for beef and blue cheese risotto. That's dinner done for tonight and tomorrow plus helpings in the freezer.

Tomorrow's job will be to make lots of sausage curry. Then I will be out of plastic pots!

I have been to the gym at the rowing club. Next job is to get clean sheets back on the bed, get a wash on and have a bath.

A tuna and cheese toasted sandwich, then?

    Yep. That's it.

I am looking forward to dinner. First turkey pie since March. I didn't get as many helpings in the freezer last year.
