When I worked in the city we would start at the office and then get in a taxi to the clients. One day I set off for lunch then couldn't remember where I had come from. I had to phone a colleague for directions! I would be fine in these days of Google.

And afterwards, may I borrow it to shoot next door’s pigeons who poo everywhere and are responsible for the fly infestation we have any time the weather becomes mild or hot.

what would happen if you just told him to stop? I'm always telling the kids around here to stop with their footballs. Occasionally a parent gets stroppy, but they are mostly ok. When I say always, I mean when a new bunch start up, once or twice a year

His dad would get cross. He's not a particularly nice man. We have asked the boy to stop shouting on a couple of occasions.

    Make tea?
    Watch telly?
    Go for a walk?
Do a bit of early evening gardening?
    Laundry?
    Read a book?
    Make a cake?

    You're very enthusiastic SP!

I've made my tea and will make EM's tea when he comes home.
    The telly is on.
    Walking? Nah.
    Gardening?! You're joking?
    Laundry - Maybe tomorrow.
    Reading? Maybe at bedtime.
Make a cake? It's too late for that.

Oh, and I need a shower.

Collapse in a heap with a glass of wine. I have a tired and grumpy Mr BS to attempt to cheer up too. I have cleaned our new bath and offered him first go.

    Wasn't the reference to 'painting'
    a reference to a 'refit?
