Well-being in UK schools

Discussion in 'Health and wellbeing' started by ResilienceGetUp, Nov 26, 2014.

  1. I am aware that a lot of new research in neuroscience and Positive Psychology has shown better ways to help students and teachers flourish but I am not sure how much of this is implemented in UK schools.

Does your school implement any kind of well-being program or training and if so what do they do?

What do you think could be done to impact students well-being?

My head teacher may need some lessons in understanding the term 'well-being'. A lot of head teacher's have no concept of the idea because the word doesn't feature in their vocabulary. At least, not with mine.

I am not aware of ANY well-being programme in schools whatsoever.
