Ways to each reading AF2 and AF5 (quotations and language analysis)

    Anyone got any good ideas for teaching finding quotations and analysing language? I'm a bit tired of getting pupils to annotate and write P.E.E paragraphs.

    Hotseating a G&T as the poet/ author is always a classic- 'why did you use this word' etc?
    Cloze exercise with key vocab removed- pupils have to fill it in with their own choices then evaluate against the author's.
