Close enough! Wombling Merry Christmas. Now to ponder your one...
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
away in a manger
clue - 70s band
Lonely This Christmas by Mud
Since this sounds like an Elvis song I put forward one by Elvis
Might be on completely the wrong tracks here (hoping for a clue really), but didn't Kermit the Frog sing a song about "Sleeps to Christmas" on a Muppet Christmas Special?
Sorry to lower the cultural bar here but I do like the Muppets.
I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing By? I always sing sailing in though.
yes -thats the one
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Mary's Boy Child
BICO (think Dean Martin although Rod Stewart did a good version)
Baby It's Cold Outside.
O Tannenbaum (not sure that's spellt rite)
I like the Muppets too. But it's a different song. I thought it was the 70s but I've just looked it up and it was 1980. STC - kept out of the number 1 slot in December 1980 by John Lennon re-releases.
STC - Stop the Cavarly (how can I have forgotten that one ?)
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas?
(Hope you don't mind me joining in....)
My favourite Christmas song:
Which reminds me (as if I needed reminding) I'm going to a singalong Meet Me In St Louis at my local indy cinema on Saturday. Really looking forward to it!
Can't think what CW is though. Off to ponder...
CW - Christmas Waltz (dare I suggest that someone else is using the "Christmas with the Rat Pack" CD as inspiration like I am )
This one is most certainly not by the Rat Pack
You might need a clue; its a 50's comedy song from a group of three of the best British (and completely bonkers) comics, all sadly dead now.
That wasn't the one I had in mind (but I may have to look for that CD, sounds like it's right up my alley) - mine was originally from 1981 and then covered by the Spice Girls in 1998........
Is yours by The Goons - they are the most bonkers British comics I can think of......
I'm Walking Backwards for Christmas ?
Merry Christmas Everyone?
I'll try again with my favourite......
CW (1981 and then covered by the Spice Girls in 1998)
