Warm up and cool down music in PE

Discussion in 'Primary' started by mmc39, Jan 10, 2011.

  1. I would like to do my warm ups and cool downs to music this half term in PE. I would like to use music that the children enjoy and are familiar with.
Does anyone know of any good music that I could use for my Year 1's? Any ideas appreciated.

  2. DJ Casper - Cha Cha slide (Gives instructions and reminds them of Left and right!)
Follow Da Leader (can't remember the group) , child at front shows movements and others follow then swap leaders (Like aerobics class!)

Simple, fun and gets them moving

It's not necessarily familiar, but I love using an album called Fuzzy Folk. It's a collection of childrens songs but with a folky edge.
