Wanting to find role in Economics / Business Studies at A level

I am an NQT and did my PGCE in IT. I have years of business experience and a degree in Economics and Business. I would really like to teach Economics (and/or Business Studies) at A-level, but I am not getting interviews, despite a number of applications. Is there a top-up course for Economics that I can do? Any thoughts on the best route into teaching these subjects? Thanks.

  2. Personally I am going on a one day Economics for new / non-specialists course organised by tutor2u. I looks pretty good, have a look at their website. Next year Economics will attract a bursary, so there is a shortage of teachers.

Sorry, I was thinking you meant the academic year starting the year after september - 2013 -14. I was wondering where the crystal ball had come from!

  5. Economics is a part of our daily life so every thing is engaged by economics.
it should be a part of A-level.
