We're looking for teachers who love to travel and want to write about it!

teachersthattravel.com is a new blog that aims to collate a whole range of destinations around the world, all you need to do is write your top 5 things from that destination.

Have a look at the website and please do get in touch if you'd like to be involved!

We get 13 weeks a year, let's share our amazing experiences and hopefully inspire others to travel...

Really look forward to hearing about your travels!

It's bad enough here without going looking for trouble.

You get free fame and the site/material gets bought as its used by travel companies to promote holidays lol

    Depends how good it is!

The teachers whose travel tales I've read mostly about on here have been ones of finding work abroad to escape the misery of working in UK academies. Will you be including the likes of these, or it just about holiday stuff?

    Ain't that the truth!

Why do I get the feeling this is a trawl by a journalist from the Daily Wail or other some-such rag?

Just got back from 5 weeks on route 66. I need to write up my journal so might give it a go.

I've been to Millport. You get the ferry from Largs which has a great ice cream parlour. It's not as exotic as the rest of your blog but it was nice day out.

I had to write off some journals on an engine I rebuilt because they were as knackered as the bearings.

Is it just me, or is the name Wiedeman suspicious?

Great! If you get in touch using the contact link on the site that would be brill. We've got a few blogs for North America but nothing on Route 66 so would love to hear your tales!

    Casual racism, lovely.

Wasn't quite what I was thinking but hey, I'm open minded and if it reads well then I'm sure we could squeeze it in!

However I dislike the name of the website. No teacher in the state sector has 13 weeks holiday! It just re-enforces the myth that we get 13 weeks to put our feet up.

I think it means overall not all at once. I get 13 weeks if you count up the occasional days too.

I travel 13 miles every day to teach

But I have no intention of writing about it
