I have been waiting 3 weeks for my police check, there is now 2 weeks half term holiday. I am 8 weeks pregnant so keen to get work ASAP to ensure I qualify for SMA. Can I claim JSA? I was on supply in NI from sep to dec 18 but obviously did not work everyday.
    Any advice welcome thanks

Yes you can the way it works is they monitor your in payments from employers (through your ni) and as you earn more the payments decrease. Probably the only good thing and uc. Apply on line and then you get a phone call from someone who if its like my first one assumed I was trying to claim for the rest of my life and was lazy. Just explain your reasons why you want to register and enjoy.
