Vocational or more practical Technology options for KS4

Discussion in 'Design and technology' started by vcollier, Jan 4, 2011.

  1. The school has asked all departments to review their current offerings at KS4 to try and provide more variation to the GCSE courses on offer.
What courses do you currently offer other than GCSE's, what do they involve, what machinery/equipment is needed and how sucessful are they?
Any information would be much appreciated

BEC engineering. BTEC construction. Started BTEC engineering in 2006, Construction last year. Fantastic boost to CVA. The beauty is that you can write your own course depending on what equipment and skills you have.
