I am looking for a group who can run a 1/2 day workshop for a mixed group of KS1 and KS2 musicians as a reward for all their hard work in band and choir this year. We have had drummers and Indian musicians in the past, thinking of maybe samba??? There will be about 70 children aged 5 to 11 but they can be divided into key stages. Would really appreciate any suggestion, we are in Birmingham

Samba! Great fun and everyone can do something although most children want to play surdos. You could get quite alot done in half a day. I don't know who would offer this in Birmingham but the music trust in Northamptonshire can do workshops sometimes and that's not too far.
