Virgin Trains will no longer sell Daily Mail

Virgin trains are no longer going to sell the Daily Mail or provide it on their trains.
After customer and staff feedback Virgin feel the paper does not reflect the sort of thing they want to read.

Absolutely fantastic! The DM is nothing more than "a racist and homophobic rag" -- and I quote the comment on Radio 4 PM program this evening. If the DM knows that it is not this sort of rag then we would expect to see them take the BBC to court. But they won't. They know exactly what sort of person they set out to cater for.

I will put myself in the asylum now.

However I do disagree with a lot of what it publishes. But it is the easiest online newspaper to read.

Waitrose provide it free, along with the Guardian and a few other freebies. :(

I've got no respect for Virgin or the Daily Mail.

It's not a matter of principle at all. If it was a matter of principle that would refuse to sell it when most customers wanted it.

Of late the DM seems more concerned with events in America than the UK anyway....and telling folks when celebs show off thier body or body parts or who is hanging out with who....like a sort of OK magazine.

Surely unless people read it from time to time, they are hardly in any position to know what is in it and whether or not they approve of it.

I disagree. It's an appalling website to navigate, and I find its pages take forever to load.

I have much more important tigs to worry about, and would have though Virgin Trains did too.
Strikes me as playground politics and all a bit childish (the ban, not the DM)

Yes but the less fascist rags about the better Britain is

You would have to be an idiot if you don’t know what the Daily Mail is all about

Good to see Richard Branson, well known for redistribution of wealth, doing his bit for those dumb proles who might have been tempted to read it.

Read my post. Yes I would ban fascist rags. But I’d keep the Torygraph and the Times. I’d ban the Sun as well.
