type vcop in resource bank and you might find more

also theresa compilation of speaking and listening early morning activities that i collated from a thread in there and many could be adapted to VCOP eg the photo ones ask for WOW words to describe using all the senses there are others there that can be used for this

Do you want this to be a thread where like s&l we create a set of IWB cards?

    Vocabularly
    - Think of at least 5 WOW words to describe a banana (could replace this with any object)

    Connectives
    - Write at least three sentences using a different connective in each

    Openers
    - use this sentence opener and continue the sentence (think here id want to make a link to the fabulous sentence opener cards Julia teacher has on Trinityeducational really no point in reinventing the wheel)

    Punctuation
    - write at least 5 sentences using !

Show a verb ask ch to write as many adverbs as possible eg. walked - quickly, slowly, noisily, shyly, quietly.

Wow words beginning with a given letter of the alphabet.

Spot a deliberate mistake in a sentence eg. wrong connective, incorrect punctuation.

3 nouns - write a sentence containing all three. eg. dog. mouse, horse

"A dog was outside his enormous kennel when he noticed a tiny mouse riding on a huge horse's back.

Play word association with a partner and write down the words. (not sure that's VCOP though is it_).

For more able pupils this last task could be to take two of the sentences or one and make it much improved then to write a paragraph including it.
