Vanilla pod

    Give it a sniff. If it still has some flavour then yes, use it again.
    Did you split it open and/or scrape the seeds out?
    If not, then it should still have a lot of flavour.
    A good thing to do with a used vanilla pod is to whizz it up in a food processor with granaulated sugar to make vanilla sugar. This is nice sprinkled on fruit and then bruleed.

    Same here. Just wash it and dry thoroughly first.
