I'm currently studying Python and hope to introduce the language to students next September.

I'm also aware that Python may be used to create Apps.

However, I'm wondering whether its better practice to create Apps using Android s/w.........

    Opinions please.

  3. MIT have resurrected Google's App Inventor. I'd be tempted to use that for Android development. It has an interface reminiscent of Scratch, so much more accessible to the students.

  4. The Xcode ide from apple allows python code but you still need to know objective C. Other than that you may want to check out some frameworks like django but most apps rely on an API and supported languages.
