I'm moving fron upper juniors to a Y3 class in September. From looking at the current writing produced by my incoming class, it seems they have still have quite a big problem with placing full stops accurately. Does anyone have any really effective strategies for helping children to quickly secure this skill? Thanks.

  4. I used a star count which basically was used to put a star next each correct full stop and capital letter. Then write the total next to a star sticker, kids treat it a bit like a competition, not something you use long term and it had to be done in every piece of writing for the period you focus on it.
