Use of equipment in KS1 SATs

    IIRC, those taking the level 2 paper can use a hundred square and those taking the level 3 can't! I taught my children to use a ruler ( which they are allowed for both papers) as a number line too. This doesn't in any way change the marks they receive.

    Crikey! Don't know. Most schools have 30cm rulers. I liked the ones which had centimetres in alternate colours ( usually green and wood!) as the children can spot odd and even numbers easily! At KS1 they are only measuring in whole cms so don't need mm on the rulers!
