I mean sure, the USA has expanded by land purchase in the past, Louisiana and Alaska are the two obvious examples... And yes it'd consolidate arctic territory as that region opens up to exploration... and as the ice sheet melts then the land under Greenland might be good for population resettlement.... But still... not expecting that. Reminds me of the mid-1990s suggestion that the USA purchase Siberia from Russia. So could Greenland become the 51st state? Or the 52nd and they let in Puerto Rico and Greenland together?
