The director of Huawei has been arrested in Canada at the request of the US who are now seeking extradition.

Why? for trading with Iran in contravention of US imposed sanctions, sanctions which the ICJ has spoken out against.

Possibly, but the arrestee has successfully applied for a publication ban of the details making it difficult to be so definite.

Apparently Trump is planning an exec order banning US companies from trading with or buying equipment made by Huawei and ZTE. The supposed reason is 'security' but it's hard to believe this isn't either commercial or just plain bad tempered spite over Iran sanctions.

But yeah, because it's Trump's America... people are actually going to make out that the communist dictatorship of China [with one million Muslims in concentration camps] is the good guy in this... because that's how crazy 2018 has got for them.

    I wouldn't buy a product from a company I can't pronounce.
