But things have been done about it... that's why your milk bottle makes no sense...

11 states have passed the National Popular Vote Bill...
People are trying to change the system...

That's what is so great about 2016... it's the will of the people overthrowing the establishment...no more political stitch ups!

Thank goodness for the electoral college system.

Wonder if the Electoral College will have the guts to follow the will of the people tomorrow?

If they follow the will of the people of the state they represent, Trump will be elected as expected. I think few will have the guts to cast their vote based on the result of another state. We won't know until January 6th.

If they they each follow the will of the people in their states, then Trump and Pence will be confirmed, won't they?

    You know what I meant!

Some are all or nothing States - the Electoral College doesn't reflect the popular vote. If Trump can win a State by 10k votes, he shouldn't get all the EC votes for that State.

So was it agreed before the election that the Electoral College would work that way?

That may well be a pertinent issue. But it hasn't suddenly arisen and I don't think the current Electoral College has any sort of mandate to deal with the issue.

No... it's been discussed and address since 2000 at minimum... a 19th century relic of the US constitution to maintain the power of the slave states... one that removes the democratic will of the US electorate...

According to this [ LINK ] there have been 700 attempts to reform the electoral college... yet some people like to claim this is all sour grapes because Clinton lost...

Also, reform of the EC will be done by the Legislature of either the USA or by Constitutional amendment... not going to reform/abolish itself.

Downside is the popular vote allows California to choose the president.

Would you like to change the number of senators per state while you are at It?

Quite. So it should quietly get on with the job of rubber-stamping the result. As it will.
