Just finished a 2 day Section 5 with an inspection team who listened, were receptive, didn't ask for ridiculous paperwork and were courteous, aware of workload and impact of the inspection.... what a rarity!

We had a 1 day Section 8 inspection yesterday. Just one HMI on her own. Not one question on data at all but it was excellent and shown an upward trend since the last inspection four years ago. Quite a lot of time in nursery which is a new facility since last time. Reading is an issue, although still better than national, and, generally, it was a decent day. The HMI was also courteous and smiling. Perhaps not so rare after all.

Ditto. Section 8 inspection: 2 humane inspectors, didn't look at data, focused on reading and how the curriculum is taught and a big focus on staff well-being.
