  1. Have you ever come across a child who you consider to be "unteachable"?

    Yep. I've had a few who go through the motions, but have made little progress from Rec to Year 6. They usually end up in Special Schools when they get to Secondary.

    OOOH YES! Another league of behaviour problem.
    Two years ago. Don't like to talk about it even now. Stressful time.
    Management were rubbish.

    Yep, I had one. A child with so little understanding of anything going on in class that all I could do with him all day was to make sure an adult was nearby to make sure he was cutting out/sticking the right thing in the right place. Also, he was pretty horrible to the other children, hitting, spitting, name calling etc. To make matters worse, the parents couldn't see anything wrong with him and refused SEN support for him.
    Eventually, they became so frustrated with our ability to make progress with him that they moved him to another school. Big sigh of relief from the whole school, especially me.
