Okay folks, it's time for action.

There are many of you out there who have become academies over the last few years and are happy and doing exceptionally well. That's brilliant.

However, there are those of us who will resist this being forced upon us with our last ounce of strength. How can we make a united stand against this ill thought-out nonsense? I hear a lot of tutting and moaning, but zilch action - unless there's something going on that I don't know about. (and I don't mean petitions and conferences!)

    Please enlighten me.

Perhaps the time has come for some Headteachers to insist on teaching and to specify that all leaders should teach. That would be a brave move indeed...
