  1. Is it weird for me to be annoyed that they are showing this film on ITV1?
I can vividly remember watching this in the cinema and feeling so sick and upset. I can't possibly imagine what moments they feel it will be appropriate to break up the film with silly adverts!

I'm not familiar with the film, but have looked it up and understand your concerns. They should have thought about this and transmitted it without breaks.
  3. I know it sounds daft but I feel as if they are completely disregarding their story by just breaking it up with cr*ppy adverts. Almost as if it isn't that important to deserve any level of respect.

Completely agree with you. Crass and insensitive.

Come on, people, it's ITV, the whole channel is about profit, not morals.

Which is why I rarely, if ever, watch anything on it.
  7. I'm glad it isn't just me.
In fact the more I think about it the angrier I am.

The whole point of programmes is to get us to watch adverts.

Express your disgust in a strongly worded letter or email. I seriously doubt you're the only person who's angry about the way they've handled things, on this of all days.
  10. I'm in the process of writing one manashee.
    Absolutely disgusted really.

Good lass! I think I'll join you.
ITV really are a bunch of twarts.

Because the people who made the film gave it away and refused to make any money from it?
Because when you paid to see it at the cinema you got in for free?

I personally feel that the whole film was in incredibly poor taste in the first place, never mind showing it on ITV split up by adverts.
I think Hollywood was far too quick to capitalise on the story. Not enough time had passed.
    Just my opinion.
  15. United 93 is a British film.

  17. Putting words in my mouth there DZ.
Just pointing out that it wasn't hollywood raking it in.

As United Pictures were the distributor, yes they were.

    I am with eva.
I didn't watch it but I imagine the adverts were less exploitative than the film.
  20. I've never seen the film and never wanted to. I was surprised to see it in the television schedule last night. If it is to be shown on television, then this weekend wasn't the right time.
