Unauthorised holiday for children of parent governor but would have been authorised if I was not a governor.

Thank you for your advice. I am grateful to know where I stand. My main concern was whether there would be any repercussions for my children and their school records. This seems to be just a question of making the school's figures look good.
The issue is to be discussed at our next governors' meeting so hopefully a policy will be agreed on which will be fair to all parents, governors or not.

    I appreciate your information.

Just go and sod the consequences. If they fine you you can threaten them with God knows what.
Unauthorised absence to learn French in a foreign land. Big deal.

  4. Your children will benefit from the experience and you will all enjoy a week together as a family en France!!!!
