UK Teacher’s pension whilst working abroad

I am working tax free abroad. I am 60 so have applied for my teacher’s pension as I was advised to do so as I am no longer paying into the Uk scheme.

A friend has just told me that there is a cap on how much you can earn whilst drawing your pension. My question is, does this still apply if I am working abroad and therefore not contributing to the UK tax system? Thanks.
