So i have offers at both[This comment/section/image has been removed for breaching our Community Guidelines/Terms and conditions]. Both pretty much the same conditions other than ******** want things like extra school experience and skills tests done by certain dates.

I fell in love with ******** but travel wise it is the most impractical uni. Whereas ******* my intial feeling at interview was noooooo but as the day went on i felt better about it.

Both courses are slightly different. ******** is FS/KS1 wheras ******* is primary with pe specialism.

My impression was ******** had a more holistic approach than ******* which felt really academic.

Does anyone have experience of either uni for pgce?

You aren't allowed to name unis or schools on here.

A PGCE is a PGCE at the end of the day, so it makes no difference where you study it. You won't be spending much time at uni, but will be on placement most of the time, so think about where their schools are located, and choose whichever one you think will be most supportive.

Hi there this is my first time joining the forum..
I have a similar dilemma as stated above have to universities to choose from. what I wanted to know is that does the tutor play a very important role in the PGCE or the school you are placed in and as one of them told me that they can't reveal the schools as they change every year...

To be honest, the school placements are the most important in the PGCE.

Would you consider staying in the area after completing the course? If so go for the area if the best job opportunities and housing. PGCE students are often offered jobs after being on placement in areas with growing youth populations so think beyond th course.
