Trying to make nursery room more interesting

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by GemmaLucy91, Aug 6, 2015.

  1. I work in the 2-3 year old room and we have a wooden shelf above a unit which stores boxes of toys and that we do writing at, the shelf is side on the you as you walk in the door and it doesn't look very interesting.

Does anyone have any tips of what I could put up there to make it more interesting?

It's a bit hard to say without knowing exactly what you're describing!

Picture frames are always good, so you can display children's work for short amounts of time before sending them home. Or mirrors. Alternatively you could hang fairy lights from the shelf, or bunting, to make it look more attractive.
