Trip to Barcelona

Have done Barcelona trip three times in all now but always run it as more of a Spanish experience (as opposed to with language classes).
Most travel companies (we've used NST) lodge you in Salou, Lloret or similar. Our groups are a bit younger but typically we've done a 7 day tour (coach - yikes) with limited time spent in Barcelona itself.
Activities our kids have really liked:
Trip to theme park (Port Aventura - yes, I know, but it is fun for them)
Full day in Barcelona - trip to Camp Nou, trip to art gallery (Picasso, Miró), wander down Las Ramblas and quick stop off at Sagrada Familia.
Day out in Tarragona (UNESCO site - nice - good thing to do on first full day when kids are shattered after coach).
Time at the beach having a kickabout (!)
The first time I went on a school trip we also did Rosas and Empurias. It was great but we seemed to spend a lot of time on the bus.
    Good luck!
  2. Thanks - that's a great help as a starting point!
