Transition sessions with my new year 3/4 class

Discussion in 'Primary' started by jomacleod, Jun 5, 2011.

  1. Hi
I'm looking for ideas about activities for the transition sessions with my year 3 4 class. Last year I got the kids to make name plates showing all the things they enjoyed ( & it really helped me to remember their names & sort our seating arragements for the beginning of Sept term) They also completed an online MI assessment which gave me a fantastic display. I'd like to do something similar to create a September Display so the kids can immediately see their work when they arrive, but am stuck for a new idea.
Have considered Tickled pink & Green for Growth rosettes to get the kids to show me what they think they are 'good' at and areas they wish to work on. Large scale & loads of tissue & crepe paper - could look great!
Any other suggestions would be most welcome.[IMG]
Happy final term one and all.
