Training from Australia OTT and QTS

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by georgiepalmer, Mar 24, 2011.

  1. Hi,
I've just come over from Australia where I trained over there and am now filling in forms to get my first teaching position. Am I right in thinking that as I haven't done a PGCE I haven't got QTS yet, but can teach over here as a provisional teacher and get QTS by doing a OTT instead of the NQT year?
Also do you think it'll be a disadvantage not having QTS as an Australian trained teacher?
