  3. There are quite a few about tbh..
    Recommend:
    http://www.hitchams.suffolk.sch.uk/mosque/default.htm
    http://www.surreyplacesofworship.org.uk/virtualvisits/mosque/

    Also: http://www.thebcom.org/mosquetour/index.htm
Only main prayer hall is really virtual on this one: http://www.lancashiremosques.com/discovery_mosque_tour.asp

Maybe better/more productive to gather together lots of photos of UK mosques local to you?

Thanks, I found all of those but I was really after a video rather than a click and follow as I can't get all my classes in a computer room through the week.

I found a short clip on BBC learning zone (hasn't actually been working for weeks, has anyone else found that?).

Try the above - they have loads of little video clips on a vairety of stuff in the RE section.

I don't feel too confident about site visits yet. I am the only RE teacher in the school and I am an NQT so I'm a bit daunted by it to be honest. The video from RE online worked really well though.

Thanks, my name is nothing like my real name I just thought it was quite amusing.

  7. Understood. How does your situation work? Are you Head of Department, or are you led by the Head of Humanities?
Your nom de guerre is very amusing indeed.

I am part of the humanities faculty in the school. I am kind of autonomous in my planning and things as the SoW had been cobbled together by a non-specialist so I am writing it all myself for KS3 and we don't do RS GCSE at the moment so no worries there. I do have to give lessons and resources to 3 non-specialists and OFSTED said I should have a TLR but sadly I do not. Good job I love my job really!
