Topic - worried about progress

Discussion in 'Primary' started by GeorgeFriendly, Jun 13, 2011.

  1. Assuming you're an NQT, wouldn't it be a good time to ask your mentor or another member of staff to come in to a lesson and give feedback specifically on behaviour management?
I experienced similar problems in a 'challenging' school in London. It may be worth experimenting with teaching style - perhaps cutting back on whole class delivery and giving them a number of short tasks to do.
  2. Setting for literacy is not the only solution. I have heard comments that some teachers do not know their class well enough when other people teach them for the basic skills through group work or class setting.
