    Hi folks,

If anybody has got any great ideas for teaching grammar to year 5 it would be greatly appreciated. I'm fed up of the usual re-write and correct this sentence! I am constantly picking up on grammar during lessons anyway but I have a dedicated 'grammar' lesson. Just a little unsure of new approaches to teaching it.

a piece of writing grammatically incorrect, children in pairs or small groups have to go through and correct it in quickest time. First group to do so win. Similar to what you mentioned but seems more fun to the children if its made into a competition. More like a starter though

Grammar for Writing isn't new, but it covers what you need to do!
