Times Tables - Pop Songs

Discussion in 'Music' started by niknak79, Jan 18, 2012.

  1. Hi all,
Have just taken over a very, very low ability Year 5 class who (amongst many things) don't know their times tablesl. Have the CD's of all the songs which I've used in Y2/3 but they just won't cut it with this group of steetwise kids. Am thinking if I can use a pop song to make up some lyrics along to but wondered if anyone had already done this with any success ??
Or if not ... any advice ... no help at home to learn them so just want something to catch their attention ...
    Thanks !
