timefiller suggestions for primary

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by feemackenzie, Sep 11, 2011.

  1. The answer is stage dependanr surely? Anyway adapt away from this list:

    - class singing (abba, beatles, elvis)
    - silent following of instructions (touch nose, ear, leg, elbow. etc)
    - class quiz using general knowledge (name og bart's dad, etc, etc)
    - reading to the class (I'm using Scream Street for a scottish p6/7)
    - quiz book
    - games of 21
    - magic number (say magic number is 10, each group is asked to count in [you choose] Person who says 10 sits down). so first person counting in 2' might say 4. next says 6 (4+2), next says 8. fourth says 10 and sits. repeat until a winner from each table. then champions go head to head

soooo much potential fun and activities in 5 minutes
  2. Thanks guys for the suggestions :)

EcoLady I'll have a look on that thread!
