Time to trim the fat

    So let us help them.

    No salaries to non-teaching personnel above the salary of the headteacher.
    Replace paid executive trustees with volunteer trustees made up from retired teachers
    Reduce turnover of teachers and spending on agencies and advertising by taking well being of teachers seriously
    Farm out back room duties such as HR, data, etc to local authority teams rather than every academy having their own personnel staff
    Convert the academy back into a local authority school reducing the pay of the headteacher by the same amount it rose when the school converted to academy status

    With the caveat that the LAs need to be on their game.
