Threshold/leadership question

    Hello
I was due to go through threshold this year. 6th going into 7th year of teaching. At my performance reviews I informed the head - all fine and dandy.
Since the latest review I applied for and got an internal promotion and will be assistant head in September now on leadership scale.
My question is - if i find that leadership isn't for me and want to move back into class in the future, will I go back onto main scale pay? Should I pursue the threshold thing this year or will that be unachievable? Would I have to potentially do another year and apply for threshold then if I moved back into class?
    Thanks

Once you have been on the leadership scale for a year (I think...) if you revert to a classteacher position you would revert to UPS1 without the need for an application.
