Good thinking Sundaytrekker and Cornflake.
Thanks for removing post 11. Good luck with it all... you now we will require an update in a while don't you?!
Yes, of course, will keep you all updated.
Busy weekend ahead as I will be sending two more applications.
Thank you all for being so supportive.
If you were offered an interview but couldn't attend because attending another interview and you saw the vacancy re-advertised, would you expect the school to have contacted you to see if you were still available?
Or should I just re-apply?
If they had really liked your application and were very disappointed you didn’t come for interview, possibly yes. Or if they were desperate (but that’s not very flattering). But equally they know you chose to attend another interview, not theirs, so perhaps that’s not the best footing on which to set off...
Yes, I see what you mean.
They seemed more annoyed than disappointed to be honest!
Just apply again. If you’re close to their criteria they should be pleased. If you feel the need to refer to it just say how disappointed you were not to be able to meet them previously but are very excited at the potential opportunity to to meet them and their lovely school. Or somesuch. If they’re overwhelmed with candidates you might not get shortlisted. Chances are they won’t be.
Agree with Sundaytrekker - after all, you've already completed the application once, so it won't take you long. Just check they haven't adjusted any of the PS
