So...this is me right now. I know none of you can physically help and I'm feeling kind of okay at the moment (in limbo until next scan next Friday and you can't cry all the time) but we haven't told many people I'm pregnant, so I'm feeling a little lost all on my own if that makes sense to anyone. Poor Mr Sillow has been great but he can't bear my emotional woes all by himself because he's feeling a bit raw too.

Am I allowed to ask for virtual hugs?

Oh yes. This is so difficult. Try to be calm, remember slow steady breathing to keep you calm. Thinking of you.

Have you spoken to a medical professional?

Sometimes they can give you a quick scan much earlier.

Definitely a big virtual hug from me, Sillow - and a wet snuggly kiss (or possibly a nose-wipe) from the cat, too. Actually, you can not have that last one, if you prefer...

@slingshotsally - I had a scan at hospital today. Gestational sac and yolk sac but no fetal pole. Also possible haematoma. So it's all up in the air until next week.

@Grandsire - but cat kisses are the best kind! It's times like this I wish I really did have a cat. Stoopid landlords.

    VERY sorry to hear this.

I had three anembyrionic miscarriages at between 6-8 weeks. It's very distressing as the pregnancy tests kept coming back positive even after the miscarriages for several weeks.

    ((( Sillow)))

Sorry Sillow, very sad for you.

Appreciate you and your husband might be coping with your own grief just at the moment, but try to ensure you do comfort each other.

There is nothing certain yet @Sillow ...it is early days to detect the heartbeat so..... take the advice here..... remain calm, remain positive......with my second child I had two emergency trips to hospital with me convinced the baby was gone..... they left me on a gynae ward for 2 days, lying flat and didn't scan me til the 3rd day but baby was still there as she is today 36 years later !
    Thinking of you.
