No,it’s shocking. But when I read the British press or speak to my mum I’m told that the economy is doing fine, there’s never been as many people in work, unemployment is at record lows etc. So why is food bank use on the up and devastating news like this is around?

Says as much about the leadership as it does about the disenfranchised IMO.
Obviously both sides of this subject are true and can be proved statistically. The problem is that folks jump onto the side which suits their politics and, conscience.
Will we ever get a government which will tackle this? Do you mind if I don't hold my breath.
