Ah, those "lessons" and the "learning" thereof. Overlord speak for "Nothing's gonna change".

At least some people in the Labour party are now disagreeing with the 'it was the Labour party that crashed the economy not the banks' line.
    But yes, nothing gonna change.

Yes they did and it was because they believed the B-S emanating from the Banking/Financial sector. They were all in it together and the tory boys were just as complicit even in opposition as i recall.

We have no control over them it is they who are in control thanks to deregulation which started under Thatcher and continued through successive Governments including Labour.

Thinking on the title you picked lexus...

If they've read TES they might have strong evidence to support that conclusion...

Obviously the triple A star ratings being awarded to national economies and banks back in 2007 were just that BS, and presumably any rating issued by a brown noising credit agency must be treated with similar caution even today. Clearly credit agency financial experts were well worth their bonuses and financial nouse.

    Clearly!
I think treason might not be too strong a judgement.

Not really. With very few exceptions, the rating reflected their ability to pay creditors. You maybe thinking of the ratings of securities.

Thing is... they're right... on financial matters most people are idiots... [or at least don't know enough to be able to form a coherent and cogent response]...

And yes I count myself in that.
