    Amazing entries everyone.
I've been out today and only just dot round to catching up.
The photo of my entry disaster, laughable mistake is on the laptop rather than this iPad, and I won't lower the tone now by posting it:D CBA to switch it on.

Suffice to say it was an apricot and almond upside down cake but I managed to put the apricots wrong side 'up' in the bottom of the tin:confused:.
So I think I did a bottom up ,Bottoms Up cake:p

I bet it tasted delicious though - lovely combination of apricots and almonds. :)

Actually it did taste quite good. It was moist and almondy. It looked, however , a right mess:D

As requested here is the evidence of my attempt and mistake :D

You may remember from a previous post that I forgot to take a picture before
    a) eating a slice and
    b) slicing the rest and putting in the freezers.
You may also recall that as I put the halved apricots 'bottoms up' in the tin the result is not as sparklingly, inviting as the other entries
    BUT
I think I've won the Double Bottoms Up entry:D:D:D

I've never frozen cake. Does its survival depend on the type of cake?

I put all of my cakes in the freezer - sliced and wrapped in baking paper to stop the slices sticking together. I can then just take out however many portions I need.

You are being too hard on yourself. It looks fine. I would eat it. :)
