I didn't take picture of my top, just the bottom:

This is a rubbish picture but it's all eaten now so I can't take another. Anyway, I give you sticky banana and rum upside down cake! Flipping gorgeous!

You lot are so neat and tidy with your baking. It's very impressive.
I might make some veggie pasties - those look very good!

What a delicious sounding (and looking) combination. Any chance of the recipe?

Well, I would certainly help you out with eating any one of those!

    Sterling effort as usual wwwers!

Yum - I'm sure it was delicious. It looks good too. :)

    Mmmm - I'm getting hungry for cake ... ... ...

I've got one of those in the boot of my car!! It doesn't fit into my oven :(:(:( and, now it has been in the boot of my car for over 6 months waiting to go back to Lakeland...

On the upside I have a dead cheap oven tray from TKMaxx in the bottom of my oven, collecting all the dribbles.

I'm liking all the upside-down cakes. And the pasties!

I've forgotten which one it was now - this one, I think, because it has the yoghurt in it. I just added a hefty slug of rum to the sugar/butter mix.

I used to use a liner on the bottom of the oven, but this new oven has heating elements that can be used on certain setting in the bottom and so the liners are not suitable. Does yours not fit even with the adjustment available?

Much as I appreciate your selfless offer, we seem to have coped on our own!

    That looks, and sounds, delicious!
Interesting banana arrangement - is it just me that thinks it looks a bit rude?

Is there a link there somewhere that I haven't spotted?

    Wow. Just wow.

    All those superb baking entries.

You know how, in school, you give stickers and rewards to the child who has done rubbish work but has made an effort and tried. That would be me in this bake off.

    I am in awe.

Yep - I have just munched up the rest of mine. It was easier to make than I expected. I might try a banana one next.

I have to confess that I was a bit worried about the appearance of the hole on the right of the picture but now you mention it the overall pattern is a little suggestive.

Dammit. It must have been another recipe. Or perhaps I merged two in my head. That one has comments saying not to use a springform tin whereas the other one said it would be fine.

I can't find another recipe. I googled and looked at so many. I'm starting to think I was lucky to get any kind of cake at all - I was obviously just reading quantities from one recipe and adding in comments and ingredients from another!
    :oops::eek::confused:
