The "Please-Yourself Hour" a week for children

    Ha ha - You shouldn't have told them!!!! - - - But what WOULD you really do whilst the children are left to teach themselves for an hour? What about having a padlocked room for the teachers where a good glass of wine is served, a really comfy chair and sweet music available too. It would be good for the children and good for the teachers too. A fantastic idea. So, what would you like to do in this hour? Ideas please.

    When I was at Primary School, all of Friday afternoon was "Please Yourself", from Reception to Class 6 (in 7 you were prepped for the 11+ so no choice). You could play with Lego, paint, read, do craft, but not sit and chat. You had to give a brief account to the class at the end of what you'd done or discovered at the end.
